Studio space print, time / artwork by Sam Falls.
Summary:
"While these large surface rubbings [floors, walls, and windows] look very much like abstract drawings they are actually a curious hybrid of objective mechanical copying and subjective image making... handmade rubbings were photographed, separated into digital files and then randomly reassembled before being converted to analog photo lithographic plates and printed on an offset press. ... a mechanical recording process was employed and a system of production designed to produce subjective results. In this case however, the final active element was a Heidelberg offset printing press rather than Sam."--inside front cover.
