Summary: These are teaching strategies from the New School youth literacy project. They are intended for anyone who teaches adolescent learners or young adults who find traditional learning methods challenging. Using texts that are high-interest and easy to read, each teaching strategy is based on alternative learning theories. They are available in print for the reader's convenience, but find more teaching ideas, resources and lesson plans on the website youthliteracy.ca.
