Tense and aspect in informal Welsh

Summary: The author analyses the meanings of the inflections of finite verbs, perfect aspect, and progressive aspect in informal Welsh. The inflections convey factuality, tense, aspect, and habituality. Perfect aspect conveys anterior time or provides a retrospective view. Progressive aspect conveys a durative view of a situation. There are exceptions to the general analyses and various constraints are discussed.
