Thunder through my veins : memories of a Métis childhood

Summary: All Gregory Scofield ever wanted was to belong. Born into a Metis family but never told of his heritage, Gregory knew he was different, his feelings of displacement only heightened by poverty, illness, abuse and loss. Seperated from his mother when he was five, sent to live with strangers and extended family, he tried to make sense of a world that often didn't make sense at all. As he grew, clinging to the edge of an already misunderstood society, Gregory faced his own rejection from both the Native and Non-Native communities, who were unable to accept him for himself.
